Business Visa on Provincial Nominee Program

Canada has a two-tier business immigration system that offers provincial nominee programs for skilled workers. The provincial business visa program operates at the federal and provincial levels. Jobs in Canada expects valuable professionals in a wide variety of industries.

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories to nominate candidates who wish to immigrate to Canada and are interested in settling in a particular province. Each PNP has at least one immigration stream that is compliant with the Express Entry federal immigration system.

Through a network of nominee programs (PNPs), nine provinces and two Canadian territories can nominate skilled workers to relocate to Canada with the special skills needed for their local economy. Successful candidates who have received a provincial or territorial nomination can apply for permanent residence in Canada through federal immigration authorities. This is an important component of all provincial nominee programs.

Many provinces also manage their own categories according to Canada Express Entry in Canada. As a result, provinces are playing an increasingly important role in selecting economic migrants for a visa to Canada.

Priority is given to candidates who have a job offer and / or work experience in Alberta or a diploma of graduating from a higher education institution in Alberta and / or a close relative (parent, sibling, child) who already lives in the province.

For the year 2018, the provinces that participate in PNP nominated 34,700 people (1,300 more than in 2017). They predict an increase in the number of nominations in 2019.
